The park is undergoing something of an upgrade in the run up to Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021.

If you need a break from drinking across the world next time you're at Epcot, there will soon be some new out-of-this-world attractions.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek shared the news during the weekend expo. Try not to anticipate that it will be as high-adrenaline as Mission: Breakout!, yet affirmed to be a blend between a boring ride and a rollercoaster, it will without a doubt be a good time for the entire family.

"We know our guests love dining at Epcot - and the restaurants really are out of this world", Tom said. D23 uncovered that the ride will take after the Guardians as they arrive on Earth, where Rocket Raccoon takes an old photograph of Quill as the gathering researches. Don't expect it to be as high-adrenaline as Mission: Breakout!

Ken Potrock, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Disney Vacation Club, said, "The opening of Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge in just a few days and the announcement of our next planned development, Disney Riviera Resort, demonstrate the incredible momentum underway at Disney Vacation Club". Disney promises the new ships will also have innovations and new features. There will obviously be those who will criticize the park for moving away from its original mission statement, but looking to bring in a whole new crowd with two of Disney's best-known entities, surely this can only be a good thing?
