Francesco Totti revealed his future in an interview with Roma TV, here is what he had to say: " I will join Roma now let's see what kind of director role I will have.

Totti made his debut as a 16-year-old in 1993 and won Serie A once, in 2001. It is hard to explain the emotions I felt that day but my playing career is over as I have a new director career ahead of me.

"The first part of my life as a football player is over and now another more important one is about to begin", Totti wrote on his Facebook page.

"It will take time, step by step, to understand the role most suitable for me, and I will try to help all, from the youth team to the chairman". I expect a rosy, lovely future.

"I am looking forward to something bright, something handsome: finding my flawless role, doing what I can to help make a great squad and a brilliant club". The doubts are only about what exactly I want to do to achieve something great. I need time to figure out, step by step, in a calm and sensible way, what role suits me better. The football field has given me a lot and I tried to give a lot to these people, who showed me so much love day after day.

The former attacking midfielder will work alongside new Roma sporting director Monchi, who reportedly refused to give him a new playing contract, and recently-appointed coach Eusebio di Francesco. "At this moment the details are not precise, I don't want to have a specific role - I want to be everything and nothing". "I also talked with Pallotta, especially about small things that were not clear from discussions in previous years". Now we want to do what we can to take this team as high as possible. "It was a day which marked me a lot. I'll pick a ideal role so that I am able to make this a great team and a great club". "He's a great person, a top man and I am sure he will bring a lot to this team".
