This game allows players become their favorite Marvel heroes in virtual reality

At D23 today, Marvel and Oculus announced the first Marvel game for VR: MARVEL Powers United VR. Rocket Raccoon will have his trademark blasters and a scatter rifle, while Captain Marvel will have the power of flight, alongside photon beams and super strength.

Some popular video game personas are also being incorporated into the game to help build up some hype around the VR product with the widely popular Markiplier showing off the game during the reveal.

The day virtual reality gamers have been hoping for has arrived: Marvel is launching a VR game that will let you take on the role of some of the best-known heroes in Marvel universe. It looks like they'll be continuing to announce the roster as well, so keep an eye on it. No word was given on if the game would be compatible with all of Oculus current and future hardware plans. A demo of the title will be available for attendees at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) to play, by visiting the Marvel booth at the event, which will be held between 19th-23rd July at the San Diego Convention Centre.

Other games talked about during the D23 presentation included the PS4 exclusive Spider-Man, confirmation on Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts III coming in 2018 along with the debut of a Toy Story world in the game, and Star Wars: Battlefront II.
