Loftus-Cheek has become the first signing of the transfer window for new Palace boss Frank de Boer.

The academy graduate midfielder has now sealed his season-long switch to Crystal Palace, following the likes of Tammy Abraham, Ola Aina, Todd Kane and Danilo Pantic out of the exit door as Chelsea's outgoing loan contingent swells in size once more.

"If you want to buy other players, first you have to look in your own kitchen and we have some talented players", De Boer said on the official Crystal Palace website.

Loftus-Cheek also won the FA Youth cup twice along with each of UEFA Youth League title and EPL U-21 title once with the Chelsea reserves side.

Palace confirmed the move on Wednesday, the 21-year-old leaving Stamford Bridge for the first time in his career.

The Dutchman has seen huge potential in him, and the player will hope to showcase his talents on a regular basis in the top flight having only made six league starts for Chelsea since the start of the 2014-15 season.

"I always remember Palace as a very strong team, they always give everything and I'd like to be a part of that this season, and give everything I've got as well".

He has made 32 appearances for the Blues across the last three seasons, scoring twice.

Loftus-Cheek has represented England at every youth level, but missed this summer's European Under-21 Championship in Poland due to a back injury.
