The freakish and presumably strong-smelling incident was reported to have happened at the North Carolina airport on Sunday, with passengers complaining of nausea and headaches, according to WBTV.

The aeroplane had landed at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), North Carolina, on 16 July at around 4pm when the man "passed gas" in the words of the official.

An entire plane had to be evacuated after one passenger's fart caused fellow travellers to become sick.

An airport spokesperson originally told WNCN the odor was caused by a passenger who "passed gas".

Like Google, the social network frequently experiments with new ideas, and groups of users are often used to beta test features. However, that has changed and the fee has been permanently removed, which means that WhatsApp is now totally free of charge.

On Sunday evening, American Airlines spokesman Ross Feinstein said the plane was removed from service due to an odor and a mechanical issue - but not "passed gas".

The flight landed at the airport around 4 p.m., when the incident was reported.

But airline and airport officials blew off reports of severe flatulence Monday, telling The Post that the plane was not evacuated during a "medical call" after a mechanical issue aboard.

Officials with RDU did not identify where the plane was flying in from, its destination or what type of plane was involved in the incident.
