Party not coming for Game of Thrones

The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" will not premiere until July 16, which means HBO's fantasy series has missed the eligibility period to be considered for this year's awards.

Starz brought back the fourth season of Power on June 25, almost one month before G0T is scheduled to make its highly anticipated return.

Speaking to Time Out magazine, Maisie said the storyline will "crash down" as Game of Thrones moves towards its conclusion. That was probably the first major diversion of the show from the books and, you know, I argued against that, and David and Dan made that decision.

In the books, the Stark family matriarch returns from the dead after the now-infamous Red Wedding.

Considering Martin's involvement in the upcoming series, it looks like "Who Fears Death" is shaping up to be one of HBO's most lucrative endeavors, sitting at par with its other productions like "Game of Thrones" and "Westworld".
