Chelsea are considering a move for the Italy global after losing out to Manchester United in the hunt for Romelu Lukaku.

Antonio Conte has told the Spain global he is no longer needed and has not taken the striker on the Blues' pre-season tour.

While several sources insist that a deal to take the Spanish worldwide to Milan is nearly a done-deal for 70 million Euro plus bonuses, other outlets claim that Los Blancos are still extremely resistant to sell, especially with Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe looking increasingly likely to remain at the Stade Louis. And it seems the Serie A giants are not over when it comes to improve their squad in an effort to mount a serious title challenge against Juventus, AS Roma, and Napoli.

Belotti is a wanted man and has been linked with a number of clubs, including Antonio Conte's Chelsea, but Torino have continued to hope they can keep hold of the striker, who has a release clause of €100m in his contract, valid for sides outside Italy. Torino president Urbano Cairo has already rebuffed previous suitors by saying that he would not settle for anything below the exorbitant release clause, but it appears that Milan are close to striking a deal.

Milan announced the signing of Lucas Biglia from Lazio on Sunday, making the Argentine midfielder the 10th arrival of a busy transfer window at San Siro.

"I thought that considering the type of qualities Costa has, that Belotti was the ideal fit".

Belotti made 38 appearances for Torino last term, scoring 28 goals and providing eight assists in all competitions.
