Also, as media keeping a close eye on BCCI proceedings, it was notified that the four-member panel comprising BCCI acting president CK Khanna, CEO Rahul Johri, Committee of Administrators (CoA) member Diana Edulji and acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary will take a call on Ravi Shastri's salary on July 19.

However, all reports and rumours silenced down when Arun was announced as the coach of VB Thiruvallur Veerans, a T20 team of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

Singh, the 53-year-old former all-rounder said that if he was the coach of the side, he would prefer to have support staff he's 'comfortable with'.

Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag, who was one of the frontrunners for the position of Team India coach, nearly won the job, but for a proposal to bring along with him a team of support staff, it has been reported.

During the meeting, the committee accepted Ravi Shastri as Indian coach but denied to reveal any decision on appointing Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan as the overseas batting consultant and bowling coach respectively.

The firm also changed its name from Avid Life Media to Ruby in the same period in a bid to appeal to a more feminine audience. The total amount will also depend on how many of Ashley Madison's users submit claims.

Talking about the same, Vinod Rai, CoA head was quoted saying, "We will further discuss with Shastri the appointment of other coaches". The competition is slated to begin from July 22 to August 20.

However, when Sehwag mentioned that he would be bringing his support staff, Kohli expressed reservations.

Meanwhile, Arun will have to quit his role with TNPL if he is handed the India bowling coach role after Tuesday's meeting. There is a support staff in place and has worked with this team for a while now.

Incidentally, Arun is also the bowling coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) side, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Reports also say that officials of Hyderabad Cricket Association are once again keen on signing the former cricketer. On doing so, Sehwag contacted Kohli to discuss his application which the Indian skipper welcomed with open arms.

"As of now, I have to carry on normally, isn't it? If I do get the India job, I'll leave both the TNPL and the RCB", he added. And now, the appointment of the support staff is getting its share of undue controversy. When quizzed by TOI on whether he'd been signed up by the BCCI, Arun replied: "Not yet".
