And just like the Jungle Book, it all looks very, very real. In a minute or so of its live-action clip today, Disney showed off the first footage from their adaptation of The Lion King a full two years before it's scheduled to hit theaters.

Jackman was also seen is Disneyland at the time of this post.

He can get that grizzled voice down pat and is distinct enough from Jeremy Irons' original - so it all makes sense. It truly was stunning how carefully and effectively Favreau and his team captured the imagery of the animated movie and brought it realistically and powerfully to life in this film.

Qatar Crisis: call for regional solution and global monitoring to resolve dispute
He went on to accuse Qatar of "funding, supporting, and enabling extremists from the Taliban to Hamas and Gaddafi". Abu Dhabi in response to the newspaper's article refuted the allegations and said that the story is false .

Directed by Jon Favreau, the preview featured the most remarkable scene on the Pride Rock. He sneezes at one point in a shot that seemed to be a good showcase of how this movie will try to have its characters both be adorable while also realistically animalistic.

As "The Circle of Life" plays, he's held aloft by the baboon Rafiki, a moment that causes the animals gathered below to shake, sway and trumpet their excitement. "We are going to use a lot of virtual reality tools so it feels akin to what you are looking at [if you were on a real set]", explained Legato during a keynote that he gave at NAB in April. Note: Disney has not stated when and if it will release this first look at the film.

However, rumours have since started flying around about another announcement that was seemingly delayed for an unknown reason - namely, Hugh Jackman has been cast as Scar. One can only wonder who will be added to the cast, which is already shaping up nicely with Donald Glover as Simba, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumba, John Oliver as Zazu and James Earl Jones returning once more as the voice of Mufasa.
