Google Maps gives massive update to its users

This new feature appears to be live for all users, at least on the Android version of Google Maps.

This new feature shows users a timeline at the bottom of the interface with different time slots marked in Green, Yellow, and Red colour. It shows an approximate time period during which the traffic conditions will be ideal for travelling. Hit traffic, and your journey time could be doubled - or worse.

The new feature is only now available for Maps users on Android, and it pops up when you input directions. The travel time graph has bars for half an hour before, and a few hours after the current time. The infographic will show the duration of your trip depending on the time of the day. The aforementioned feature, which was first spotted by Android Police, however doesn't provide precise data regarding the time that will be saved by starting your travel at a particular time.

Bank of America Corporation (BAC) Shares Sold by Burt Wealth Advisors
Norges Bank bought a new stake in shares of Bank of America Corporation during the fourth quarter worth about $2,256,221,000. The fund owned 63,000 shares of the financial services provider's stock after selling 17,000 shares during the period.

Admittedly, the graph would be useful for the users to prepare ahead of their course. After all, we can't all afford the new Audi A8 that drives for you when in a jam.

Google has pushed out the feature will no fanfare, and there's no indication in the app that it exists. It's not clear whether Google is using real-time information in calculating these estimated journey times, or just historic information from other Google Maps users.

Google is constantly updating all its platforms introducing new and innovative features for its users.
