Her entry into the Royal Family was certainly not text book, or indeed welcomed by some, but you would never have known it from the right royal bash thrown for the Duchess of Cornwall's 70th birthday.

In the past decade Camilla has become an important part of the upper tier of the Royal Family, she carries out Royal duties on behalf of the Queen, and was also made a privy councillor by her mother in law.

The Blind Date presenter said: "But it's like she's embraced it, that's it, she's really embraced it and gone for it and all her charity work".

Ahead of her 70 birthday, an explosive biography about Camilla's life written by Penny Junor was released in extracts, claiming that Diana menaced her before two television interviews which rocked the monarchy.

Both dressed in blue, Camilla wore a dress coat with white embroidery, Charles, 68, matched with a suit, shirt and tie.

The society stylist, although officially retired from the salon, still sees his favourite clients privately and is the only man the Duchess trusts to tend to her locks.

Posts comparing Chinese president Xi Jinping to the cartoon bear - a longstanding joke in China - were also taken down. The Chinese government is famous for censoring particular words around the time of big political events.

In a statement, the Peruvian said that when he first met Camilla for her 2006 portrait, he "discovered a kind and lovely person with a wonderful sense of humor".

Her 70th birthday has brought renewed interest in Camilla, probably quite overwhelming for a woman who is more than happy to stay out of the limelight when she can.

The image was taken by famed photographer Mario Testino, who famously captured Princess Diana in her last official photo shoot.

Camilla turns 70 on Monday, but has already been the guest of honor at a party at home at Highgrove house, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire on Saturday evening. Although these were not shot as official birthday portraits Their Royal Highnesses liked them very much and felt it would be nice to share one of them to mark the day'.

The couple have come a long way since Princess Diana identified Camilla as the "third person" in her marriage to Charles.
