Bigg Boss Telugu: 1st episode gets record TRP ratings

During the inaugural episode of Bigg Boss Telugu, NTR Jr, one of the most popular Telugu film actors who turned host for the first time, reminded the viewers that the contestants on the show will have to do seemingly mundane tasks, like washing clothes, cooking, doing dishes and even cleaning the toilets, on their own. For others, the aspirations were different: Dhanraj revealed that if he goes on to win the reality show, he would like to use the money to build a house, and for others like Sameer, Siva Balaji and Jyothi, it was the lure of going through a different experience that brought them on the show. Amidst huge hype and expectations, the show had gone on air yesterday on Sunday.

He began the show with a dance performance.

The first episode of Bigg Boss Telugu is said to have registered record TRP ratings and Young Tiger Jr NTR, who is making his debut in TV industry, has wowed the viewers with his comedy timing and mannerism. Following the tradition of Bigg Boss, NTR gave the tour of the house to the audience, explained the few basic rules of the house. Before introducing the contestants, the actor took the opportunity to connect with the viewers and said, "I'll always be indebted for all the love and affection that you've showered upon me, and I've always wondered how can I give back this love". Telangana Film Chamber Chairman Of Commerce Chairman, P Ramakrishna Goud had requested the actor not to be part of the show saying the show doesn't match the Telugu sensibilities.

Even some educational institutions were found to have accepted fees in old currency notes after midnight of November 8. However, the RBI says it has still not determined the exact figure of the returned notes.
