Bhutia denies joining Premier Futsal

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 13 (ANI): Brazilian football superstar Ronaldinho will be visiting Mumbai on Friday and explore his future with Premier Futsal, a variation of football played indoors.

The former Ballon d'Or victor was in the city to promote the five-a-side football game and expressed his desire to scale the game to greater heights. You guys show me a lot of love.

Denying reports that he had joined as the talent director of Premier Futsal, former India captain Baichung Bhutia clarified that he has not taken a decision yet.

The former Ballon d'Or victor and former FC Barcelona and AC Milan superstar, commenting on his association with the league and experience on playing in India, said: "I enjoyed and loved playing in India past year and entertaining the audience".

India narrowly missed out on a quarter-final spot in the 5-a-side World Cup held in China during May this year, while the Indian football team attained its second best ranking of 96 in a span of two decades. Last year, Futsal was organised for the first time in India.

"I enjoyed and loved playing in India past year and entertaining the audience. Not only football, but the success of this event will also support all of the other sports to grow", he added. Star footballers like Ronaldinho, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Hernan Crespo participated in the league but most of the Indian footballers were absent.
