The bad news is that when Apple reports fiscal third-quarter results on August 1, Huberty expects the technology behemoth to provide a fourth-quarter outlook that is below Wall Street's consensus, because Huberty expects the new iPhone be shipped slightly later than typical, in October rather than September.

The delayed launch sets up better-than-normal December and March quarters as new iPhone purchases are postponed, Huberty said.

Last week, Bank of America Merrill Lynch analysts slashed their forecast for full-year shipments of Apple's iPhone by 11 million. Further, as per Brian White (analyst), the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be available for pre-orders along with the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone devices, however, the availability of the 5.8-inch variant is likely to happen sometime in October-November. One thing that is still unknown is whether Apple will be able to incorporate Touch ID functionality into the display in time for the iPhone 8. A lot of rumours point to AR as one of Apple's key iPhone 8 features, which essentially means the camera will be used for a lot more than just capturing photos and videos. And as previously rumored, Apple is swapping out the horizontal orientation of the rear camera setup for a vertical alignment, which is meant to help the iPhone 8 with augmented reality chores.

Rumours are rife that the United States technology giant is planning to include some fresh new features on the iPhone 8 with the device expected to come packed with a new AMOLED display that will cover the entire front of the smartphone.

Meter taxi drivers attack Uber and Gautrain security personnel
Police say metered taxi drivers need to take their objections on Uber up with the relevant transport authorities. Earlier this year, metre-taxi drivers blocked the highway to the airport to protest against Uber.

Apple Inc. has a 1-year low of $94.37 and a 1-year high of $156.65.

To distinguish the new iPhone from the models it has released over the last three years - the 6, 6s, SE and 7 - AAPL is expected to move to an all-glass design.

Although the 3D lasers are definitely big features to look forward to, reports say that the inclusion of these lasers is not yet final and will hugely depend on the progress of Apple engineers in inserting the system into the phone.

In other Apple news, SVP Johny Srouji sold 10,000 shares of Apple stock in a transaction that occurred on Monday, May 22nd. The leaked render illustrates an elongated design with a 5.8-inch display and a bezel less display screen.
