Some consumers were anxious that the same issue would affect the new HOnda Accord but according to Honda, the battery sensor has been redesigned back in June 2016 which means the newer model should not have the same issue. Standard Honda Sensing brings collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control, while there's also a 7-inch (178 mm) digital display for the instrument cluster and a new 8-inch (203 mm) infotainment system - also a 6-inch (152 mm) head-up display and adaptive dampers for the flagship Touring trim.

Additional available driver-assist technologies include blind-spot information; front and rear parking sensors; cross-traffic monitor; and driver-awareness monitor. Prices for the new Accord will be revealed at a later date.

It remains to be seen how automotive reviewers will react in general to the 2018 Honda Accord, what with early reviews still coming in slowly but surely.
