Schoolgirl gang-raped in Bihar, thrown off moving train

Initial information about what exactly happened after she was forcibly taken away by the men remained unclear, with some reports saying that she was forced into a railway train, raped and then thrown out of the train at the Kiul station.

She was found on the tracks the next morning, injured, bleeding and unconscious.

The girl belongs to the Lakhochak village in Lakhisarai district in Bihar.

While narrating her ordeal, the 14-year-old said she was gagged and taken to a nearby field, where she was sexually assaulted by 6-7 persons. She was admitted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) where her condition is said to be critical while a team of doctors are continuously monitoring her health. The administration swung into action only after media highlighted the case.

One of the six sexual attackers of the girl has been arrested and five others are on the run, the police said. Shockingly, one of the rapists is a student of Class IX in the same school.The victim's brother said when his grandfather woke up at around 3a.

On the other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has assured the girl of bringing the perpetrators to justice.
