- Police in Lancaster have released images of a vehicle they say caused a school bus to overturn, injuring 14 students and the bus driver, before fleeing the scene.

The bus driver and the driver of the escort vehicle were the adults taken to the hospital, according to Lines. The auto hit the escort vehicle, which caused it to, in turn, hit the school bus. The bus was transporting students from Chester County that come from partner Christian schools that don't offer high school.

The driver is not in custody, Lancaster County District Attorney's Office spokesman Brett Hambright said Thursday. A hospital spokesperson said three students sustained traumatic injuries.

A 16-year-old boy is expected to be released from the hospital today, officials added.

On Thursday investigators released photograph's and video of the suspect's vehicle, which appears to be a light-colored sedan, possibly a white Chevrolet Malibu.

Hambright said authorities want to speak with the driver.

Images from the scene showed the bus lying on its right side with its front caved in and windshield shattered.
