While it may be a bit longer of a drive than to Pemberton, organizers of Ontario's Way Home Festival are extending an invitation to those stuck with now-useless Pemberton Music Festival tickets.

"Ultimately, once the monies are recovered to the extent possible and creditors are known, they'll be in allocation of the monies at hand to the creditors based on their amount of the claim and the total games". "But it's unfortunate for me to be the person breaking this news if that's the case, because if you didn't pay on credit card, odds are you'll be lucky to recover very much".

Documents also show the festival owes U.S. $2.5 million to its creditors.

According to Vancouver radio station CKNW, Pemberton Music Festival cite "decreased ticket sales and increased operation losses" for the bankruptcy.

The documents state ticket sales in 2017 were down to an average of just over 18,000 per day, less than half of the over 38,000 per day sold previous year.

Ex-French PM seeks to join Macron revolution
Macron's newly renamed "Republique en Marche" (the Republic on the Move) movement reacted warily to the announcement. Le Pen called for France to leave the European Union and drop the euro currency in favor of the franc.

"The Trustee will distribute proceeds to creditors on a priority basis based on a scheme of distribution specified in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act of Canada". "In addition, the Pemberton Music Festival experienced increasing difficulty in sourcing talent for the 2017 festival due to a limited number of artists touring in 2017".

The 2017 Pemberton Music Festival scheduled for July 13 - 16, 2017 is cancelled and will not proceed as scheduled.

He adds they now have five days to file an official bankruptcy notice.

"As PMF (Pemberton Music Festival) is now in bankruptcy, it has no ability to provide refunds for tickets purchased", states a notice on the festival's website.

The firm says there will be no automatic refunds for ticket holders, although ticket holders may file a proof of claim as an unsecured creditor with Ernst & Young. However, determining if a refund is applicable will not be known for several weeks.

Refunds may be available to ticketholders from third parties if tickets were purchased using a credit card. Ticketholders will need to contact their bank or credit card company to find out if they can get a refund.
