Of the 27 athletes headed to preliminaries, 18 represent the Colorado State women's team and nine represent CSU's men's team.

With Kibet and Rotich in the qualifying number, 2017 marks the first time Tulane will send two men to regional competition since the 2012 season, with Rotich becoming the first male in school history to compete in more than one event.

The top-12 competitors in each event at both NCAA preliminary round sites (Austin, Texas and Lexington, Kentucky) will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 7-10. Piccirillo won the BIG EAST title in the 800 meters for the second time in her career last weekend and will be seeking to return to the NCAA Championships after redshirting the 2016 outdoor season. The Falcons, who qualified athletes in 23 different events, will travel to Austin, Texas, next week (May 25-27) for the opening round of the national meet. Joubert ranks sixth-all time at Tulane in the javelin. She also earned indoor second-team honors at 3,000 meters this winter. Timlin, who won his third MVC 1500 title last week, stands in 13th on the qualifying list at 3:42.93 - not far off his school-record 3:41.35 run at the NCAA Championships past year to finish 14th overall.

Feivor, who will run the 10,000 meters, recently set a personal-best in the event.

Junior Tristan Parmley had an excellent outing at the MVC Championships last week - leading the Sycamore men with 12.5 points scored - and was rewarded with a trip to Lexington in the 100-meter dash.

Though Mourinho was happy with the result , he said it could have been more and urged respect for the Spaniards at Old Trafford. He said: "It's not so easy to control the game against this team, they score nearly every game".

The Sycamore women, meanwhile, have three bonafide national qualifiers in Taylor Austin, Brooke Moore and Alethia Marrero.

Sophomore Brooke Moore is looking to cap off a superb 2017 season - which included three individual school records in the indoor mile (4:43.04), indoor 3K (9:35.60) and outdoor 1500 (4:20.02) - with a trip out to Eugene.

Parker qualified for the 800 meters following her school-record performance at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic back on May 5. Cleirigh Buttner has run the 800 meters at the NCAA East Preliminary in each of the last two seasons and qualified for the NCAA Championships last season.

Sereno won both the 5,000- and 10,000-meter titles at this past weekend's Big Ten Outdoor Championships, while Phelan and Kieffer-Wright came away with conference crowns at 1,500 meters and in the high jump, respectively.

On the men's side, the Blue Devils will be represented by seniors Dylan Murphy (800m) and Connor Hall (pole vault) and sophomores Rivers Ridout (high jump), Jeremy McDuffie (triple jump) and Nicholas Solfanelli (javelin).
